Jeffrey Davis to Lead Session on Broadcast Media Relations During Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit

Jeffrey Davis has been selected to lead a panel discussion on the latest strategies for reaching audiences through TV and radio at the upcoming Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit ADWKDC, the most respected marketing and communications conference in the Mid-Atlantic region.

In today’s fast-paced media landscape, television and radio remain powerful platforms for reaching a broad audience and shaping public perception. This session — presented by a panel of experts including AARP’s VP of External Relations and broadcast experts from two leading satellite media tour companies — will explore how to plan, prepare, and execute a broadcast media campaign that makes the most of audience reach. It will also discuss choosing and preparing spokespeople for high-stakes interviews and crafting compelling sound bites.

Joining Jeff as panelists for “Mastering Broadcast Media Relations: Navigating TV and Radio” will be Sarah Lovenheim, AARP Vice President of External Relations; Laura Pair, Chief Business Officer, 4media Group; and Doug Simon, CEO, D S Simon Media.

“While communicators are rightfully using social media to get the word out, they shouldn’t abandon a powerful way to reach large audiences,” said Davis, who heads public relations consultancy J. Davis Public Relations, LLC and also serves as Maryland editor for the Capitol Communicator. “Our panel will share data that shows why TV and radio and still go-to approaches, and they’ll cover tips on how to efficiently pull off media blitzes in markets across the U.S.”

The Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit is the region’s largest annual gathering of marketing, advertising, PR, communications, and media professionals. It brings together 500+ professionals from brands, associations, professional services firms, government, tech companies, and more to discuss industry trends, best practices, and challenges.

This year, the event hosts the American Advertising Federation DC Chapter’s ADWKDC, which will feature a track of sessions for the advertising community.

The summit is co-produced by two of the most respected news organizations in the region: Potomac Tech Wire, the region’s source for technology news, and Capitol Communicator, the region’s source for marketing and communications news.
